Who are we?
James Price is the owner of Acorn Polishing. He left school at the age of 16 to get an apprenticeship in French Polishing at a local furniture store. Over the years, James developed his skills and created Acorn Polishing in 1986 as a solo business.
Since then, James has expanded the company over the past 30 years. He has become one of the most respected polishers in Bournemouth. Acorn Polishing works with a variety of clients including people needing restoration on home furniture, hotel furniture and high end art deco store, Talisman London.
What is French Polishing?
French polishing is a traditional wood finishing technique that results in a very high gloss surface with a rich colour.
The process of French polishing takes a high level of skill, but the wooden finish is one of the most exceptional ways to treat wooden furniture, whether it is old or new.

No matter how old or new/ large or small piece of furniture is, we will be able to work on it. This includes bookcases, dining tables, chairs, side-boards and wardrobes.
